Crown Firecoach Enthusiasts
Membership Information
Contact Us for more information about our Membership for Crown Fire Coach, including access to archives and additional Firecoach Information.
Membership in the CROWN FIRECOACH ENTHUSIASTS (CFE) is not limited and is open to anyone who wishes to join. You do not have to own a Crown or any other type of apparatus to be a member.
Although CFE is the Southern California Chapter of SPAAMFAA (Society for the Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America), residing in Southern California is not required, and in fact our membership comes from all over the United States, Canada, and as far away as New Zealand and Europe.
Our membership is made up of people from all walks of life and includes apparatus photographers, apparatus owners, fire buffs, fire departments, firefighters, fire mechanics, fire publications, model builders, museums, and many others. While some of us have spent years driving and operating fire apparatus, others simply have a passion for old fire equipment. Regardless of our backgrounds, we all gather as friends to show off our fire rigs, share ideas and information and to study and preserve the history of fire apparatus and to keep up with the latest happenings.
Crown Firecoach Enthusiast dues are $25.00 per year for individuals and organizations, which includes a subscription to the bimonthly newsletter with articles on Crown Firecoach history, members' rigs, group happenings, upcoming events and buy-sell-want listings.
Memberships by organizations such as fire departments, museums or associations are welcome. Any such group may join CFE as long as they have one person as their appointed representative
Please consider joining us!

CFE is the Southern California chapter of SPAAMFAA. While membership in the National organization is only required for board members, we encourage all chapter members to join National as well. Among the many benefits are the quarterly color magazine “Enjine, Enjine,” and the newsletter, “The Silver Trumpet.”
The National SPAAMFAA Board has launched a membership drive. There will be awards given to both chapters and individuals who bring in the most new members. The chapter that recruits the highest total of new members from January 1st through December 31st shall be awarded 1st place in the recruitment contest. The chapter award will be FREE National Insurance for the year in which the award is given. (Currently CFE pays $300 annually for insurance coverage for our chapter meetings and events). An award plaque shall also be given to the chapter. The chapter placing in runner up position shall be recognized and awarded a plaque. For a chapter to be in the running for a first place award, a minimum number of 20 new members shall be required.
The individual that recruits the highest total of new members from January 1st through December 31st shall be awarded 3 years free dues and an award plaque. Dues are currently $30 per year so that is a $90 value. For an individual member to be in the running for a first place award, a minimum number of 10 new members shall be required.
Privately owned fire apparatus operated at Crown Firecoach Enthusiast club sponsored events must abide by National SPAAMFAA rules outlined in the Safety Manual
